Using Your Pals

From your first conversation to advanced thinking modes and team deployment. This guide shows how to put Pals to work as a control layer between your tools and the model - grounded in your real systems, governed by default, with a human-oversight gate before any action and a full audit trail. Context, governance, and control, explained step by step.

About Credits

Credits are the product's usage measure, not just an advanced-feature switch. Heavier reasoning, longer outputs, collaborative modes, and file analysis usually consume more than lightweight chat. Standard and Pro use fixed monthly allowances, Business uses a fixed allowance plus metered overflow, and Enterprise is consumption-based with no fixed allowance. Top-up packs apply only where the account is on an allowance-style model.

How to get better results

Choose the right Pal first

The Pal you choose changes more than tone. It changes the specialist identity, instructions, memory shape, and actions available to the conversation.

Continue the right thread

If the work is genuinely continuing, staying in the same thread can preserve useful context. But when the goal changes, the thread has grown too broad, or you want a clean reset, start a new one deliberately.

File related work into Topics

Topics are not just folders. They are how the product groups related work so retrieval, continuity, and future understanding stay coherent.

Give the Pal evidence

Attach the real files, notes, and examples whenever they matter. The fastest way to improve quality is to ground the conversation in actual source material.
