From signing in to your first conversation and building a daily rhythm. These are the basics you need to start working with your Pal.
Sign in with your Microsoft account to get started.
Open the Power Pals app and click Sign In. You will authenticate using Microsoft Entra ID with your Microsoft work or personal account. Once authenticated, you will be taken through a brief onboarding form to set up your profile.
A short form helps your Pal understand your role, your preferences, and how you like to work.
After your first sign-in, you will be presented with a welcome screen and a short profile form. Fill in your name, role, and a few preferences. This information shapes how your Pal communicates with you from day one - its tone, priorities, and awareness of what matters to you.
Type a message, ask a question, or describe what you need. Your Pal responds with context-aware, business-ready output.
The message input is at the bottom of the Home view. Home is the best place to start new work cleanly: choose the right Pal first, then send the opening brief. Continue in the same thread when the work is still the same job, and start a fresh one when you want a cleaner scope.
Responses are delivered in real time with clean formatting - headings, lists, code blocks, and more.
As your Pal thinks through your request, the response streams word by word. Markdown formatting is rendered automatically for easy reading - headings, bullet points, numbered lists, bold and italic text, and code blocks all display cleanly in the conversation view.
Every conversation is saved. Browse, search, and pick up where you left off.
Switch to Browser using the navigation. You will see Topics on the left, chats in the middle, and the selected thread context on the right. Browser is not just history. It is where you search, inspect, refile, and resume work without losing the thread.

Based on our conversation history, here is a summary of yesterday's meeting with Actera Group...Keep work and personal conversations separate. Toggle between modes and your Pal adjusts its context accordingly.
The Work/Life toggle is in the top navigation bar. Switching modes changes which archive, Topics, and recent work are brought forward. Use it as a context hygiene tool: keep professional and personal work separated so each side stays cleaner over time.
Find any conversation instantly. Search by keyword across all your chats.
Use the search bar in the Browser view. Results update as you type, highlighting matching conversations so you can quickly find what you are looking for.
Focus on what is current or dig into your history. Filter by This Week, Older, or All Chats to find what you need.
Quickly recall and re-send previous messages. Use the up/down arrows in the input field to cycle through your message history.
Speak naturally and your Pal transcribes. Hands-free input when typing is not convenient.
Click the microphone icon in the message input area. Speak clearly and your words are transcribed in real time. When you are finished, press Send to deliver the message to your Pal.
Listen to your Pal's responses read aloud. Choose from six distinct voices to suit your team.
Enable voice output from your Pal's settings. Choose a voice - Alloy, Echo, Fable, Onyx, Nova, or Shimmer - and responses will be read aloud automatically. You can change your preferred voice at any time.
