Our own sales Pal
Time saved on the search. Time spent on the sale.
Selina Sales is Power Pals' own sales Pal, made available to, and used by, anyone in the partner network to generate leads. She generates around 200 leads a month, brings the hottest signals to the team every Monday and, once a deal is real, drafts the proposal, statement of work, data processing agreement, project initiation document and Dev Guide.
Prospects, clients and partners are not named on this page. The video and the worked examples are illustrations.
- FindAround 200 leads a month, from 60 searches a quarter.
- QualifyEvery lead scored on public evidence, with a contact checked against a public source.
- ProposeThe proposal and contract pack, drafted from one agreed scope.
- Hand overA Dev Guide the build team can start from.
The sales model
One Pal from the first signal to the signed Sprint.
Our sales run through three teams: pre-sales, sales and client development. Selina works with all three, on the outreach that turns a signal into a demo and on the documents that turn a demo into a Sprint, our fixed-scope, five-day build.
- Pre-sales
Signals
Selina findsAround 200 leads a month, each with the public signal behind it.
- Pre-sales
Outreach
Selina draftsProfessional-network messages, proof-of-concept proposals, CRM records, Sprint plans, one-pagers and white papers.
- Sales
Demos
A seller shows Power Pals working on the prospect's own problem.
- Sales
New Sprints
Selina draftsThe statement of work, data processing agreement and Sprint plan.
- Client development
Follow-on Sprints
Selina draftsThe next Sprint's pack, from what the first one learned.
Finding the leads
60 searches a quarter. 200 leads a month.
Each search is one combination of segment, territory and vertical, so no two look for the same thing. The 60 are spread over three months, so each quarter covers the market one corner at a time.
Segment
- Microsoft partners
- Managed service providers
- Mid-market firms
Territory
- Ireland
- United Kingdom
- European Union
- North America
Vertical
- Professional services
- Public sector suppliers
- Logistics
- Financial services
Examples of the kind of combination, not the actual list.
Every Monday
Latest Signals.
Each Monday, a Latest Signals search picks up the hottest signals Selina has found. Nothing special is built for it: it is a request to a Pal, made on a schedule, and she carries it out the way she would any other.
- Evidence firstEach lead comes with the public signal behind it, such as a tender, a new hire, a funding round or a public statement, and where it was found.
- Public sources onlyCompany sites, procurement portals, press releases, public posts and job ads. Nothing behind a login.
- A checked contactAt least one public source confirms the contact. A role mailbox or a contact form is marked for a person to review.
- A next stepOne line on what to do next, and a short brief for the seller on how the deal could be won.
Latest signals: which are the hottest?
- 91 - High
- An engineering services firm advertised for a bid manager and published its tender calendar. Contact: head of operations, confirmed on the company site.
Next: a short note about bid preparation. - 84 - High
- A logistics company announced a move to Microsoft 365 across its depots. Contact: a role mailbox only, so marked for review.
Next: confirm the contact, then offer a discovery call. - 72 - Warm
- A software reseller posted about adding managed services. No contact confirmed yet.
Next: watch for a second signal.
An illustration with made-up companies, not a record of any lead.
How a lead is scored
Five parts, weighted, out of 100.
High is 80 and over, Warm is 60 to 79 and anything lower waits. A high score earns a person's review, not a message.
- Signal strength40%
- Role match20%
- Contact checked15%
- Company fit15%
- Recency10%
Qualify and reach out
Selina drafts. A person sends.
Once a lead looks real, Selina does the legwork around it, working in the seller's own mailbox, calendar and CRM. The seller asks in plain words, one step at a time.
Around a new lead
- Checks the CRM before adding a company, so nothing is entered twice
- Writes the first email into the seller's drafts
- Adds the contact and a follow-up action, assigned to whoever owns the lead
- Drafts a short proof-of-concept proposal when a lead scores high
Around a meeting
- Lays out the day from the seller's email, calendar and CRM
- Researches the company's public challenges and priorities
- Reads the thread to see who is joining and what they have asked
- Checks whether the proposal still fits, after the call notes are in
Nothing goes out on its own. Emails stay in drafts, and a meeting is a calendar entry with no one invited until the seller adds them.
From demo to Sprint
Five documents, from one agreed scope.
When a client is ready to go ahead, Selina designs the solution and produces the pack from our templates. She builds it from the call notes, the emails and the client's own drawings of how the work flows today.
Proposal
The problem, the outcome and the solution, with the value it brings.
Statement of work
What is built, what is needed to start and how it is accepted.
Data processing agreement
What data the work touches and how it is protected.
Project initiation document
Who is involved, the plan, the risks and how decisions are made.
Dev Guide
The build steps, connections, tests and handover for the build team.
How she designs the solution
Smallest change, biggest effect
She looks for the smallest simple automation with a real business effect.
Design broadly, package tightly
The wider opportunity stays in view as a backlog. The first Sprint takes its first valuable slice.
Microsoft first
Power Automate, Logic Apps or Azure Functions, whichever is simplest, unless the client needs otherwise.
Unknowns labelled
What is confirmed, what is proposed and what still needs checking are kept apart.
A Sprint delivers one simple automation, normally one Pal and never more than five, with at most three connections to data that is ready.
The partner network
The same Pal, in every partner's hands.
Selina is made available to, and used by, anyone in the partner network to generate leads, for Power Pals and for the automation work they deliver.
Their market
Searches set to the segments, territories and verticals each partner sells into.
Their own tools
Selina works in each partner's own connected mailbox, calendar and CRM, with the same drafts-only rule.
Their leads
Scored leads with the evidence behind them and a next step, ready for their sellers.
Who decides
Selina does the legwork. People close the deal.
Selina does
- Find, check and score leads from public sources
- Draft emails, CRM entries and meeting placeholders
- Draft the proposal and contract pack from the agreed scope
Our people decide
- Which leads to contact, and every message that is sent
- Prices, terms and anything binding
- Whether a solution is feasible, and when the team can deliver it
Selina keeps only the personal data a lead needs, and stops on any legal or privacy concern until a person has looked at it.
